Time Studies
Time Studies, 2019–2022
These studies examine the constructed nature of temporal perception, focusing on the relationship between language, culture, and subjective experience. The series challenges linear conceptions of time, proposing instead a cyclical model shaped by repetition, return, and transformation. This logic extends to the material process: earlier paintings are cut, reassembled, and sewn into new compositions—acts of reconfiguration that suggest a form of aesthetic reincarnation. The series concluded with the exhibition never odd or even in 2022 at *ALTEFABRIK in Rapperswil.
